Contract & Payment

Arrangements
We require a signed contract prior to your event. If you would like to be invoiced through the Texas Tech University billing system, sign and complete the food form, include your 10-digit account number and fax a copy back to the catering office at 806.742.0976. Within 5 days after your event, your account will be processed unless the amount of your event has increased. If this occurs, you will be contacted for approval for the increased amount.

If you are not billing through the Texas Tech University system, we require an advance deposit of 50% of the estimated value of the event or have a valid credit card on file. The balance is due the day of the event.

POLICIES
Reservation Hours

The catering department's hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Menu selections are coordinated through the catering office by calling 806.742.1966.

Timely ordering

All events must be booked at least seven business days in advance to avoid a late booking fee of 8% of the overall charge (minimum $50.00). The menu details must be finalized three business days prior to the day of your event. If changes occur within the three business days, a late change fee of 8% of the overall charge (minimum $50.00) will be incurred.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel a catered event, please give University Catering at least 3 business days notice to avoid being billed a $35.00 cancellation fee plus any cost already incurred by the catering service.

Pre-sets

Requested pre-sets over guaranteed guest count will be charged $4.95 per setting.

Unused Food, Disposables, Condiments

Any unused food remains the property of University Catering and cannot be removed from an event in compliance with health regulations. Any condiments or disposables also remain the property of University Catering.

Lost items

Lost or misplaced items are not the responsibility of University Catering or Texas Tech University.
